The Office of Research and Innovation supports research-related costs through the following:

Faculty Publications

Publication costs for articles in scholarly journals that pay no royalty or fee to the author are funded by the Office of Research and Innovation to a limit of $500. These costs include article submission fees, reasonable photographic reproduction fees, and page charges. Faculty can apply for this funding support through the competition in IUP’s InfoReady Review platform.

Incidental Research

Large research projects are funded externally. Preliminary studies leading to external grant proposals are supported internally. The limit is generally $500 per project. Faculty can apply for this funding support through the competition in IUP’s InfoReady Review platform..

Faculty Travel in Pursuit of External Funding

Establishing direct contact with program officers is a detail that faculty members often overlook when applying for grants. The Office of Research and Innovation provides modest support for appropriate travel to federal and state agencies and private foundations. Faculty can apply for this funding support through the competition in IUP’s InfoReady Review platform.
