Recently, the White House, Office of Budget Management, and district courts have issued multiple messages regarding the federal funding landscape. IUP and the IUP Research Institute are actively working with PASSHE’s legal department to monitor these communications and any new developments. Designing, funding, and conducting a research project is a complex task with many moving parts. IUP provides extensive support to faculty and staff researchers to make sure you successfully complete your research project and that the experience is rewarding and goes smoothly.
The resources and support services described below include documents, systems, and university units that provide assistance to the university’s research community. They are there to help you initiate a sponsored project, make sure your research complies with internal and external rules and regulations, and assist you in managing your project from start to finish.
The Essentials
Every researcher at IUP should be familiar with a few essential resources. First, the key resource that every researcher and principal investigator needs to familiarize themselves with is the Project Investigator Handbook (PDF, 1MB). Make sure to download a copy!
Investigators should also be familiar with using for managing and routing external funding applications, and with , IUP’s system for handling numerous forms, applications, and sign-ups.
