From Serbia to IUP to a Future in Aerospace Science

Born in Serbia in a time of civil unrest, Danijel “Dan” Babić came to the US as a child, studied meteorology in the Air National Guard, graduated with an IUP physics degree last year, and is now working on a master’s in aerospace science in Barcelona. Learn how IUP helped shape his journey.

Full Circle: Reflections from the First Graduating Class of the IRMC Family Medicine Residency

Rural Health Pulse continues with a special episode with members of the inaugural class of the IRMC Family Medicine Residency as they prepare to graduate. Joined by Program Director Amanda Vaglia and residents Nawar Al Janabi, of Baghdad, Iraq; Tanvi Bharathan, of Indiana; Mohit Chhatpar, of Massapequa Park, NY; and Robin Rodriguez, of Old San Patricio, TX, the episode reflects on the growth, challenges, and rewards of practicing rural medicine. The residents share candid insights into what surprised them most, what they’ve learned, and how the experience has shaped their future paths—from addiction medicine to geriatrics to family medicine with obstetrics.
