- A thesis option that offers experience in the design and implementation of research in the field of exercise science.

Classes and Requirements
In addition to requirements established by the IUP Admissions Department, specific requirements for acceptance into the program include:
- Undergraduate GPA of 2.6 or higher
- Degree in Exercise Science or Strength and Conditioning from an accredited college or university. Applicants with other Allied Health-related degrees will also be considered.
- Submission of two letters of recommendation.
- Submission of Goal Statement.
- Submission of Official Academic Transcripts.
- Submission of completed Graduate School Application.
Applicants (both domestic and international) will be considered for admittance into the program for FALL, Spring, and Summer terms (unless applying for a Graduate Assistantship. Students who are offered a Graduate Assistantship must begin the program in the Fall term.
Applicants are typically considered for Full-Time enrollment in the program, but Part-Time enrollment will be considered. Upon acceptance, Full-Time students complete the program in one full calendar year (Fall, Spring, and Summer terms) utilizing a face-to-face delivery format on the main campus located in Indiana, PA.
Qualified applicants may apply for consideration for program-specific scholarships/assistantships. Students who choose the non-thesis program option will complete an internship. The potential exists for the internship to be completed in Indiana, PA, or at a site located outside of Indiana, PA.
